We were trying to remember how it all started with this family and it began a few years ago when a last minute photoshoot cancellation brought our names to the board and we were asked to shoot a last-minute maternity session for these first time parents (at the time). We hit it off right away knowing these two were going to be some of our HKCreate cherished families!

We photographed their first maternity and newborn session, so when we heard they were expecting baby number two, we were so excited to capture those moments again! Fun fact: their firstborn's maternity photoshoot was in the winter, and so was their lastborn!

Fast-forward to now, and we were so stoked to capture ANOTHER maternity and newborn session with them! They wanted to keep the gender of the baby a surprise (keep your eyes peeled for their newborn session!) and they wanted their photos in the forest. So naturally, we went to Redwood Grove Nature Preserve in Los Altos (you get the feel of the forest but not the hour-long travel to get there!).

This family was game for anything! Can the boys run back and forth to us multiple times? Sure! Can you sit on this log because you look gorgeous in the light? Ok! Would you be okay standing in the middle of the creek!?!? YEA!

We went overboard taking photos of them because EVERY SINGLE PHOTO IS SO GOOD! They truly are such great and genuine people to hang out with and we love getting to be a part of the anticipation and memory-making that these photos capture!

Also, the boys' smiles...SOOOOOO CUTE!
