What's better than a maternity photoshoot in the forest at Redwood Grove Nature Preserve in Los Altos? How about one with a guitar!

We've been playing instruments for a couple of decades (Kissy plays the guitar and sings, and Heather plays the piano), so when this couple mentioned they're musicians and wanted to include their guitar in their session, we jumped at the chance!

After tying the knot in the woods, these two wanted to keep the theme going in this new chapter of their lives but didn't want to travel too far. So, we settled on Redwood Grove Nature Preserve in Los Altos for this ethereal maternity session, which gives off those redwood vibes without a long drive for us since we are based in the San Jose Bay Area. Their excitement and love for their little one was so sweet, especially after overcoming many challenges throughout the pregnancy, which made the anticipation of their little one even the sweeter.

The magical light in the forest was stunning, and our mama's cream lace dress was glowing—or maybe it was just her radiant mama glow! When dad brought out the guitar and mom started singing along, we had to remind ourselves to keep snapping photos because we were so moved by their talent and love for each other.

We had a blast with these two, and honestly, it felt like we were just hanging out with friends the whole time—they're truly kind-hearted souls!
