We love trying out new spots and this Indoor Studio at Emerald Gate Studios in Castro Valley was a great find for a lifestyle indoor newborn session in the Bay Area!
As Bay Area lifestyle newborn photographers, we’ve learned to be flexible and go with the flow. Things aren’t in our control, and that’s ok! When this sweet couple found out some last minute news, we needed to change the date and location for their newborn session last minute - which we’re so happy we did because it got us images like these! 🤩
Baby boy arrived a bit later than expected and we were unsure about long travel for him so we were on the hunt for a location in the East Bay and found this super accessible indoor studio in Castro Valley: Emerald Gate Studios!
We loved the white walls and wood floors at Emerald Gate Studios with large windows and sheer curtains (because hello, window light!). We were asked by the parents what to bring so we gave some suggestions and they did not disappoint!
They brought a blow-up air mattress (which you can’t even tell in these photos), bedding and pillows, extra outfits, blankets, and the list goes on! When we say these first-time parents came prepared, they came PREPARED! (Like full-on-suitcase-packed-prepared!)
We LOVED the turnout of these lifestyle newborn photos and had so much fun (and tons of laughter!) in capturing these special moments.
It’s so special for us to be able to photograph these life stories and get to see the anticipation of baby’s arrival to when they’re here and you can’t even remember how it was before they entered your life.
