Baylands Park is by far one of our favorite locations to shoot at! It not only looks beautiful throughout the whole year--from tall, green grass in the spring to tall wheat grass in the fall but the view of the mountains surrounding the Silicon Valley is breathtaking for sunset photos!
This park offers an aisle of trees, big fields, wide green lawn as well as dirt paths to walk along during sunset. There are benches at the end of the aisle of trees that work great for sitting down photos!
*Please note, as of 2025, the aisle of trees are no longer at this location.
PARKING
This park has many available parking spots!
There are two sides of the park we generally shoot at but we don't normally go too far into the park.
FEES
There is a $6 parking fee during seasonal months.
ACCESSIBILITY
There are many pathways and paved areas but we do tend to trek into some of the fields for photos which have uneven ground.
Public restrooms are next to the playground which is open and available for public use.
WILDLIFE
We've seen a lot of different birds (such as geese), Jack rabbits, and squirrels.
DOWNSIDES
Pets are not allowed in the park so if you're wanting your fur baby to join, this is not the park for you.
This park is known for having drone races and drone courses which can be distracting as well as cumbersome if they're flying in the area we would be taking photos.
