It's fun to capture photos of people you've somewhat grown up with! We've known mom and dad 20+ years before they even got married! We watched big sister grow up alongside our niece over the years and we got to capture little brother's newborn photos when he arrived! These are some great peeps and they're also amazing hair and makeup artists! (Check out their websites beautybysanti and insidetheparlor!)

We had been REALLY wanting to do an urban summer photoshoot with a family–and we’re so happy these peeps were game to do it with us!

Our first plan was to meet in Downtown San Jose, but then we changed our minds last minute and thought–hey, what about Santana Row?! Only to realize after we had switched the location that it was a day for a Farmer’s Market…of course the ONE night of the week we decide to go and there are crowds of people!

In our panic (Kissy was panicking while Heather kept a level head), we could have switched back to Plan A (insert Michael Scott snip snap quote here) but then decided it’d be a good opportunity to channel our creative juices and take advantage of the situation.

We’re so glad we did, because we love the way these photos turned out! Our vision came to fruition, and we also just had straight-up fun hanging out with friends. 🤗
