What was meant to be a sunny day in the Bay Area turned into one of the craziest storms in April--with stormy clouds, heavy rain and wind!

We prayed hard for a clearing of the rain and made sure this couple were comfortable moving forward with their photoshoot and we’re so glad they did! The clouds and the wind were so beautiful at Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge in Fremont, and captured such romantic and timeless photos for this couple, who have been married for over 20 years!

On the day of the photoshoot, we diligently monitored all the weather apps to pinpoint a time with predicted lighter rain (come on, Bay Area weather forecasters--be on the same page!) . As we headed to Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge, we felt hopeful (and prayerful, and perhaps a bit anxious), but it was challenging as we drove through a torrential downpour with our windshield wipers on full blast!

We arrived to pouring rain and kept on praying. (You can check out this photoshoot on our reels, via Instagram or our website). Then, as we still decided to move forward with their couple photoshoot, we got out of the car while it was still raining to scout out potential spots.

And THEN...wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles, answered prayer...when our couple arrived THE RAIN LIFTED and we were able to photoshoot the whole couple session RAIN FREE! We're not joking, people! We had beautiful wind and clouds that added a dramatic and romantic to this couple's photos.

These two have such a beautiful story of endurance through trials and they share about love, loss of their son, and healing wherever they go. They love the Lord and share His love through their story. You can check out their story at blakemohs.org
