When we planned this session, we didn't realize it would be Labor Day weekend, which is an "awesome" time to hit the beach – especially Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz. Insert face palm emoji here. Sure, it was insanely crowded with everyone and their mother there, but we still managed to capture this cute family having fun and enjoying the beach!

The weather was perfect, the water wasn't even that cold, and the sunset – can we emphasize the gorgeous sunset hues – matched perfectly with their outfits.

We know choosing your outfits for a photoshoot can be challenging, so we provide a complete Outfit Session Guide to all our clients, as well any personal help they need in choosing what to wear. So when this mama wanted her daughter to wear this cute pastel dress, we wanted to coordinate the other colors with it. She sent us a few pics, but none of her options seemed to work out until we settled on a dress that could work. So when she showed up in this gorgeous mint dress, we were thrilled because it literally matched the tones of her daughter's dress to a "t"! We asked where she found it, and she said she scored it at the thrift store THAT MORNING!!!!! Such a win!

So many giggles were to be had during this playful summer beach photoshoot! The dimples, the sandy toes, and the laughter running from the waves all made a truly perfect family session!
