We hadn’t been back to Byxbee Bayfront Park in Palo Alto in a while but were so happy we stuck with this location for this family photo session in the winter. We had a couple Mini Sessions lined up for this date but as the date crept closer and closer, the weather looked worse and worse.

Anytime rain is forecasted in the Bay Area, we still hold on to hope (and prayer!) that it will hold out during the time of the photoshoot and when we mentioned to this family that we were still good to go, they trusted our judgement - and just look at the result!

We were so excited to capture big, chunky clouds and were adamant in getting a hug sky photo! We knew that would be one of our "go-home-happy" shots!

We feel like we’ve become Bay Area weather forecasters this past year (especially in the Palo Alto area), trying to figure out if we should cancel our sessions due to rain. Thankfully, we didn’t have to cancel any!

We’re also thankful for our clients who trust us and are so flexible–if we rescheduled this family’s session we would have never gotten these stunning clouds that made for an epic sunset, and playful family photos!
