STORYTIME: When the photographer did their homework via Google Earth but not at the actual location!

Firstly, how crazy is it that we had to reschedule our family beach session from April (due to 40mph winds and coastal advisory to June) only to have MORE coastal advisory warnings along the Bay Area beaches?!

We planned our family of six beach session for Montara State Beach thinking it had easy access because Google Earth showed a staircase for beach access. Welllllll, when the time of the session arrived (as well as our fam) we were about to head down, only to find out the staircase didn’t reach the beach…how fun.

Ok, quick breath in a paper bag let’s go to plan B.

So, we drove along the coast and at our family's suggestion arrived at Francis Beach, which is a small beach part of Half Moon Bay State Beach. Open parking lot, easy access, and clean sand for miles!

We’re so happy this family beach session at Half Moon Bay didn’t turn into a wreck because our HK fam were so easy going and were game for anything. (The fact their outfit color scheme went so perfectly with the weather and location was the cherry on top of a wonderful photoshoot!)

So here’s an encouragement: don’t let fake stairs stop you from getting your photos! NOT TODAY SATAN!

We've been with this family for 9 years and we have loved seeing the girls grow up (and the parents seeming to get younger). They are true HK Fam!
