Five Wounds Church / San Jose Woman's Club

When we first met Lorena, her first words to us were, "I love your work! I want you to photograph my wedding!" We were blessed at how much she appreciated our photography style and totally trusted us with capturing memories of her and Colby's special day.

Lorena and Colby had been together for several years and as their wedding cake topper said, they were "Finally Mr. & Mrs. Diez." Family is precious to them and can be witnessed in their interaction with one another.

The day began with an excited groom ironing his shirt and getting ready for the day. The sounds of the football game in the background and the guys joking with each other made for a great atmosphere as he prepared to see his bride. Colby looked sharp in his full tux and wore his gift from Lorena: a real bow tie.

We then drove over to the Bridal room and entered a room full of ladies and hairspray. The large window in the room drew our attention as it gave off natural light (much to our delight) and we began the getting-ready photos. Lorena was a picture of grace in her matching floral robe with her ladies. The soft, even light shining through the window captured her dress, bouquet and bridesmaids photos in creamy tones. the bride looked flawless in her makeup, hair and dress and her bridesmaids looked elegant in their blush dresses and white bouquets.

From the hotel, we ventured to the Five Wounds Portuguese National Church where the ceremony was held. The high ceilings and the marble pillars made for some awe-inspiring photos. The whole ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful along with a Mariachi band playing throughout.

Family photos were extremely organized because the bride made sure to have everything on time as we had a tight schedule. Afterwards, we were able to drive down the road to Roosevelt Park where we took the bridal party photos. It was a beautiful, sunny day which allowed great rays of light to peek through the trees.

The reception was a grand event with much celebration and dancing. An amazing wedding for an amazing couple we wish all the best to!
