This little guy was SO CUTE! He was all smiles for his birthday cake smash. We couldn't ask for a more well-behaved little man (and we're suckers for chubby babies)! ;-)
We were able to have creative freedom with this one so we went with simple and minimal. We grabbed our vintage rocking chair, recommended a clean textured white blanket and we were able to contact our cake lady to make a low-sugar naked cake! We absolutely LOVE how it all turned out! Even down to the wooden "one" cake topper (purchased from Amazon)!
We didn't have to move or change areas for this session as the light was beautiful coming in through the trees. Normally, we don't shoot in the early afternoons but we wanted to make sure the little guy had his nap and was in a good mood for his photoshoot. We're glad we made that decision! We could not stop laughing at his funny faces and smiles!
When it was time to get into the cake, he was very cautious and tentative but after realizing he could play with his cake, he dove right in. Wait until you see the photo where he gets super excited to eat his cake--it's priceless!
